Batik is belongs to Indonesia. UNESCO as an international broad also said that Batik is belongs to Indonesia, Batik is not belongs to another countries.
Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as President of Indonesia making decision that every October 2nd is the Indonesian Batik's day.

jangan cuman pake batik ya....
pake juga kain songket, kain ulos, tenun ikat... atau kain-kain khas daerah lain.

supaya gak diklaim sama malaysia lagi. hehehehe

anyway, HIDUP BATIK....

that's are the problem here.. we never claim any in the first place.

Pendet dance? since when did we practice it? ponogoro? clearly we state it as JAVANESE CULTURE AND FROM EASTERN JAVA. Batik? in malaysia it is Terengganu Batik. In Indonesia, it is JAVANESE BATIK.

Dear sir,
this is good article.

I think we as citizen of Indonesia, must know our cultures in Indonesia because if we don't know the cultures this can be claims from another countries (as you know Malaysia claims many cultures from Indonesia like article your wrote about batik, also about reog dance, traditional foods, traditional songs etc).
so, we must conserved Indonesia cultures from now, much better if the Indonesia government support all cultures.

saya sebagai warga negara indonesia sangat kecewa kenapa sekarang-sekarang ini wayang golek sudah jarang muncul lagi.padahal wayang golek adalah budaya indonesia yang mesti dibudidayakan dan dilestarikan.

walaupun wayang golek terbuat dari sebuah kayu yang diberi warna (cat) dan pakaian. kita mesti harus mengenal lagi asal usul wayang golek....

mulailah dari sekarang kita melestarikan wayang golek dari sekarang... jangan pada malu ya... hehehe

Batik menurut saya sangat bagus dan harus dlestarikan. Sekarang ini batik sudah menjadi trend di berbagai kalangan. Dan sudah banyak batik yang menjadi motif beranekaragam pakaian wanita maupun pria.

saya sangat mendukung pelestarian batik untuk mencapai manca negara dan terkenal di seluruh dunia.
dan selalu memukau siapa saja yang memakai batik, karena batik salah satu hsil kerajinan yang membanggakan untuk indonesia.

saya bangga sekarang ini batik sudah banyak dipakai pada zaman modern sekarang ini. dan bahkan menjadi ternd generasi muda sat ini.
